Head Band Director
Mr. Gerney is a secondary music teacher at Frazier. A graduate of North Star High School, he played clarinet, saxophone, tuba, drums, and piano in his high school band. Mr. Gerney has a Bachelor's of Science in Music Education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is currently obtaining a Master's Degree from Kent State University. He majored in clarinet and minored in piano, was a clarinet section leader in the IUP Marching Band, and he also conducted the Men's Chorus his senior year. Mr. Gerney not only teaches music, but also enjoys conducting and writing music for all ages and instruments.
Assistant Band Director
Ms. Babyak is pleased to be working with Frazier Band again. An alumna of The Band, she played flute and piccolo under the direction of Rod Staggers and continued in college at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg under the direction of Dr. Roderick T. Booker. Ms. Babyak plays flute, piccolo, clarinet and ukulele. She is a science teacher in the high school.
